Sundays

Sundays are when we gather as family, encounter Jesus and learn to follow him together.

Come and (re)try church

Whether you’re non-religious, a little bit curious, returning to church after many years, or looking for a church to call home, you are so welcome at St Philip’s.

We don’t expect you to know the Bible, know how to pray, understand everything that happens or know the words to the songs. Simply come as you are—we’d love to welcome you.

You’ll find us at St Philip’s Church, Taddington Road, Chaddesden, Derby, DE21 4JU

Service times and what to expect…

9am Traditional Holy Communion Service

A reflective service with Holy Communion (bread and wine), hymns, Bible teaching and prayer. It offers a quieter and more reflective way to begin your Sunday. The Minister will be robed.

Refreshments are served between our two services.

10.30am Modern Service

A lively and informal service with contemporary worship, practical Bible teaching and prayer.

This service is especially suitable for families and we love having children with us. We celebrate Holy Communion once a month at this service

The service usually finishes by 12pm.

A church bell tower made of stone with a blue cross sign. The tower is topped with a small roof under a blue sky with a few clouds. Overhead power lines are visible across the sky.
